Jet black and with a nearly inky tone, Bourbon Barrel Imperial Milk Stout slowly releases a dense heavy-cream foam As the robust scent of espresso and cream fill the nose, so do the barrel nuances of char, vanilla, caramel and coconut. Expectedly sweet on the tongue, a toffee-sweet maltiness is wrapped with sweet cream, caramel and honey for a decadently rich introduction in taste.
With the rise of coffee, roast, heavy toast and woodsiness on the palate, the middle palate shows an emboldened but even-keel balance. Trending woodsy with hop bitterness and earthy with barrel flavor, the taste trends spicy, earthen and bittersweet.
